IECS currently has facilities for (1) the analysis of a wide range of stable isotopes, including CO2, DIC and DOC; (2) water quality parameters, including NH4, TP, SO4, and (3) proteomic and genomic analysis, for use in environmental investigations.

Code of Conduct

IECS aligns with the University of Regina Code of Conduct. It is committed to promoting and celebrating standards of conduct that reflect excellence, intellectual openness, inclusiveness, integrity, fairness, respect, and accountability. It will not tolerate harassment (and personal harassment), discrimination, unsafe work practices, fraud, or other unethical conduct.

Access & Use of IECS Labs

  • IECS is happy to offer training to students or researchers who bring samples to the labs.

  • Appointments must be made for training or use of equipment. Please call or contact us.

  • Successful completion of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training is required before using the Labs. This training is offered through the University of Regina.

  • ·Chemical and/or Biosafety training are also required.

  • Any person failing to adhere to the IECS policies risks being banned from the facilities.

IECS is situated on the territories of the nêhiyawak, Anihšināpēk, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis/Michif Nation, is on Treaty 4 lands with a presence in Treaty 6. We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters upon which we work and operate. We also recognize and value continued contributions of the First Nations in caring and protecting these lands and water for thousands of generations.
